NEW YORK – “Fascinating Guizhou: A Heaven of Myriad Mountains,” was recently in the spotlight at the United Nations headquarters as the 2017 Guizhou China Global Tourism Promotion and Presentationput the focus on this Chinese province.
The event included a photography exhibition which displayed the splendid scenery and enchanting cultural of Guizhou and a conference that promoted the tourism of Guizhou. Hosted by Guizhou Provincial People’s Government of China, Guizhou Provincial Tourism Development Commission and the Sino-American Friendship Association, more than 150 guests from the travel industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, the media and government officials from China and the United States gathered at the UN to learn more about Guizhou, which has more than 50 ethnic groups, endless charming cultural stories and amazing landscapes to explore.
New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio and U.S. Congressmembers Joseph Crowley and Grace Meng sent greetings to congratulate the organizer. The NYC Mayor calling the evening’s celebration of Chinese culture “a terrific opportunity to honor the diversity on which our global city rises.”
Vice-Governor of the Guizhou Provincial People’s Government, Lu Yongzheng, shared with conference participants the many reasons to visit Guizhou while Representatives of China Southern airlines shared Guizhou flight information with guests.
Several memorandums of agreement were signed at the ceremony and witnessed by VIPs including Markly Wilson, Director of International Marketing, New York State Division of Tourism; as well as the Vice Governor of Guizhou Province.
This event is the first time Guizhou province has combined promotion of its tourism image and trip products sales into one event and these products will soon be sold to U.S. inbound travel agencies online and offline.
