The Murray, Hong Kong expands launch team with key appointments

Michael's financial and business acumen, Kieron's operational expertise and Chef Lasnon's culinary flair will contribute to an exceptional guest experience at The Murray.

Hong Kong – The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel has announced three new additions to its expanding team of senior managers. Experts in their respective fields, the new appointees will be part of The Murray, Hong Kong’s opening team. The much-anticipated hotel, the flagship property of the Niccolo Hotel brand, will launch in late 2017.

Kieron Hunt, Executive Assistant Manager – R, B & E (Restaurants, Bars and Events): A global citizen, Hunt is a seasoned hotelier with a proven track record of managing luxury properties throughout Asia and the Middle East. For the last 20 years, Hunt has honed his skills at such respected hotels as the Sheraton Sydney, InterContinental Hotel Dubai, and Hilton Hotel Shanghai. Hunt relocates to Hong Kong after four-and-a-half years as Executive Assistant Manager, F&B at The Peninsula Tokyo.

Fabrice Lasnon, Executive Chef: With a distinguished career in the culinary arts, Chef Lasnon’s extensive experience spans over three decades. His culinary journey has taken him to Turkey, Morocco and Germany where he has shaped dining experiences at luxury hotels and resorts such as Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum, La Mamounia Palace Hotel, Marrakech, and C?ragan Palace Kempinski, Istanbul. More recently, Chef Lasnon spent two and a half years as Executive Chef at Palazzo Versace Dubai.

Michael Mak, Director of Finance: A respected veteran in financial management, Mak brings over 30 years’ experience to his new role. Mak’s resume includes senior management positions with renowned hotel brands such as The Langham, Hong Kong and The Excelsior Hong Kong. In his new position, Mak will be responsible for implementing financial strategies and optimising the property’s financial performance. Prior to joining The Murray, Hong Kong, Mak was the Financial Controller at Regal Airport Hotel.
