Virtuoso sees substantial leap in APAC network growth

Global results in 2016 reveal Virtuoso added 39 new agency locations across 23 countries with a 37 percent increase in annual production.

SYDNEY – The leading luxury travel network, Virtuoso, has recorded outstanding agency, advisor and production growth over the past 12 months, with the Asia-Pacific region now boasting more than 1000 luxury advisors working through the Virtuoso network.

Global results in 2016 reveal Virtuoso added 39 new agency locations across 23 countries with a 37 percent increase in annual production.

Virtuoso Asia Pacific growth rates for 2016 show:

  • Advisor Growth of 21% to over 1000 advisors
  • Total Volume of AU$1.2 billion up 34%
  • Member Agencies up 12% to 48
  • Luxury cruise up 30%

“These tremendous results for the Asia-Pacific region are part of the overall success Virtuoso is experiencing globally,” Virtuoso Asia-Pacific Managing Director, Michael Londregan said.

“It’s significant that we have seen a strong increase in member revenue, which is more than double the growth in memberships, demonstrating that Virtuoso’s performance is driven by the strong success of our existing members and supplemented by new members.

“It also shows the strength of our partnerships and our ability to deliver USPs like exclusive, value-added Virtuoso benefits and experiences which make our network a valuable tool for our luxury advisors and their clients.”

Globally, Virtuoso recorded growth in 2016:

  • 772 member agency locations (up five percent)
  • 15,238 travel advisors (up 33 percent)
  • 44 countries with Virtuoso member agencies (up 19 percent)
  • $21.2 billion in annual production (up 37 percent)
