SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company has launched its fifth route to Taiwan, linking Ho Chi Minh City with Taichung. The airline now has the most routes connecting Vietnam and Taiwan and serves more destinations in Taiwan than any other budget airline.

The new service was launched on 15 January 2017 to meet increasing business and tourist needs between the two destinations.

The route will operate four round trips per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 10.25am (local time) and arrive at Taichung Airport at 2.45pm (local time). The return leg will depart at 3.45pm (local time) and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 6.00pm (local time). The flight time per sector is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Located on the western side of Central Taiwan, Taichung is Taiwan’s third largest city and as well as being a key business hub, the city also provides a gateway for exploring the island’s mountains and outdoor offerings.
