Genting Hong Kong supports Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ Charity Voyage on Dream Cruises

Genting Hong Kong, together with TWGHs, also invited five underprivileged families to join the weekend cruise for free.

HONG KONG – Genting Hong Kong, a leading global leisure, entertainment and hospitality company, co-organized with Tung Wah Group of Hospitals‘ (TWGH) the TWGH Charity Voyage on board Genting Dream, Dream Cruises‘ new ship, from 6-8 January for its patrons and donated HKD300,000to support its medical, education and community services.

Genting Hong Kong, together with TWGHs, also invited five underprivileged families to join the weekend cruise for free.

Ms Mona Lai, General Counsel & SVP-Legal & Compliance, PR & Corp Comm of Genting Hong Kong said: “Thank you to all who donated in support of the TWGHs Charity Voyage on Dream Cruises. Since the inception of Genting Hong Kong 23 years ago, we have striven to serve the underprivileged in Hong Kong and in Asia. Our aim is to continue to foster harmony in the community, promote environmental protection and education for students in order to give back to the community.”

Mr. Vinci Wong, Chairman of the organizing committee for TWGHs Charity Voyage on Dream Cruises cum 2nd Vice-Chairman of TWGHs, pointed out that TWGHs was glad to be the first organisation to hold a charity fund raising event on Genting Dream. He also thanked Genting Hong Kong for its co-sponsorship of underprivileged families under TWGHs’ care to enjoy a special weekend on board Genting Dream and for the generous donation in support of the TWGHs’ various services.

As part of the voyage, TWGHs and Dream Cruises arranged special performances and family workshops exclusive to the event patrons on board, including a “Happy Hour at Sea” where local, singer-songwriter Mr. Kimman Wong gave a live performance for guests surrounded by gorgeous sea views in the Palm Court.
