Myanmar Airways International (MAI) announced its Kolkata new service from Yangon, Myanmar.
Commencing 1st December 2016, MAI will operate two times weekly service between Yangon and Kolkata using Airbus A320 and A319 aircraft.
MAI was founded in 1993 as a joint venture company between Myanmar Airways and Singapore base company. Effective from January 2014, MAI is the 100 % complete member of KBZ Group, Myanmar National owned private company.
MAI has code share agreement with Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.
MAI currently flies between Yangon and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Gaya, Guangzhou, and between Mandalay and Bangkok.
MAI is the only recipient in Myanmar of the IATA Operational Safety Audit Program (IOSA) Operator. To this date MAI able to keep 100% safety and accident free in aviation history and record book.
