Costa Asia named ‘Best Cruise Line’ for Entertainment & Service Excellence in Travel Weekly Asia Readers Choice Awards

With dedication to offer the highest standards of hospitality, Costa Asia is set to obtain certification for its first Halal Kitchen onboard Costa Victoria.

HONG KONG – Costa Cruises, the first international cruise line to enter Asia Pacific and China in 2006, has been named “Best Cruise Line – Entertainment” and “Best Cruise Line – Service Excellence” in Travel Weekly Asia’s annual Readers Choice Awards. Ms. Ali Wong, Business Development Director, Costa Cruises Asia Pacific & China received the award on behalf of the cruise line from Ms. Alicia Evanko-Lewis, Senior Vice President, Events, Travel Group, Travel Weekly at a presentation ceremony held at Mandarin Orchard in Singapore.
 
Organised by leading travel trade magazine Travel Weekly Asia and running for its second year, the Readers Choice Awards acknowledges and honours the “best of the best” in the travel industry and professionals who have excelled in service and products during the past year. All award winners from the 12 categories were voted by Travel Weekly’s Asia readers, comprising of expert travel professionals across different specialties of expertise.

With dedication to offer the highest standards of hospitality, Costa Asia is set to obtain certification for its first Halal Kitchen onboard Costa Victoria. It will be ready for its Southeast Asia maiden voyage from Singapore starting on 22 October, 2016, offering Muslim passengers a hassle-free vacation at sea without any dietary concerns, alongside Costa’ unique “Italy at Sea” cruising experience including the signature “Carnival of Venice at Sea” programme. Furthermore, Costa Asia will launch its inaugural homeport sailings from Penang starting on 25 October, 2016, which provides an opportunity for Malaysian guests to embark and disembark at their doorstep for the first time.
 
To further share the best in entertainment and world-class service excellence in Italian cruising with more travellers across Asia Pacific and China, Costa Asia will bring its fifth cruise ship, Costa neoRomantica, to Asia in April 2017.
