SCC voted Best Cruise Port for Travel Weekly Asia’s 2016 Readers Choice Awards

The award acknowledges and honours the “best of the best” in the travel industry – professionals and companies who have provided exceptional service and products in the past year.

SINGAPORE – Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) has been voted “Best Cruise Port” by readers of Travel Weekly Asia and Travel Weekly China, regional online news portals which provide the latest news and market intelligence for travel industry professionals in Asia Pacific.

The award acknowledges and honours the “best of the best” in the travel industry – professionals and companies who have provided exceptional service and products in the past year. Winners in each of the 46 different categories are determined by total votes cast by readers who are mostly professionals from within the travel and hospitality industry.

Commenting on the win, SCC’s CEO Christina Siaw said: “We are honoured to receive this latest vote of confidence from the experts in the travel and hospitality industry. This award bears testament to our operational excellence and commitment to deliver best-in-class services to our customers.”

“As one of Asia’s most established cruise ports with a track record of 25 years, we are humbled by this recognition from the industry we love and serve. I share the award with all my colleagues at SCC without whose hard work and dedication, we would not have achieved the success we have.”

SCC manages the international cruise and regional ferry terminals at HarbourFront as well as the regional ferry terminal at Tanah Merah. Established in 1991, it has won more than 25 awards in the last 25 years including coveted international awards from reputable industry players.

Travel Weekly Asia’s annual Readers Choice Awards recognise outstanding accommodation, transportation, venue, service and technology providers in their respective categories. Winners are chosen based on their ability to provide first-class products, excellent service, outstanding performance and competitive advantage within the industry, public visibility, excellent strategic market development strategy, outstanding product innovation and R&D capabilities, superior business execution and high credibility in the industry.

Ms Siaw added that SCC invests a substantial amount in human resource development and training annually, and has also been upgrading its infrastructure, tapping into new technologies and improving customer touchpoints in order to provide a seamless and delightful experience for the over seven million travellers who pass through its cruise and ferry terminals annually.
