Phocuswright launches second annual Phocuswright India

Phocuswright India brings together travel leaders to network, learn and build strategic partnerships with the industry's most influential leaders, innovators and visionary thinkers.

NEW YORK – Travel industry research authority, Phocuswright, announces the launch of the second annual Phocuswright India, the Asia Pacific counterpart to its preeminent United States- and Europe-based conferences. The two-day event, held February 28 – March 2, 2017, takes place once again at The Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel & Residences, Gurgaon, India, and features travel innovators, executive keynotes, panel discussions and debates, as well as exhibition and networking opportunities.

Building on the success of last year’s conference, which gathered 400 attendees, Phocuswright India brings together travel leaders to network, learn and build strategic partnerships with the industry’s most influential leaders, innovators and visionary thinkers. Registration opens October 11.

“We’re happy to be back at the Leela Ambience for the second installment of Phocuswright India,” says Lorraine Sileo, Phocuswright’s senior vice president, research. “We have more speakers, more innovators, more industry leaders and more content – prepare for great education sessions and even greater networking opportunities. This year really is bigger and better than before.”

The theme of the 2017 Phocuswright India, Funnel Revolution, encapsulates the key driving forces defining the Asia travel market. The Funnel Revolution invites you to contemplate:

  • Cultivating captive audiences (think mobile apps and loyalty perks) upstages generic customer acquisition
  • Identifying – and engaging – new prospects as InstaFaceChat comes into its own
  • Going, staying, experiencing is no longer overshadowed by searching, shopping, buying
  • Exploring AI/AR/VR… some of the new tools in the battle for better marketing, engagement and true personalization at scale

“I found the inaugural Phocuswright India to be well-structured and valuable. It had high-caliber speakers and demonstrators who were well in tune with the current travel innovation, purchasing and consumption trends in the APAC region,” says Trevor Lee, managing director, TravConsult. “I look forward to seeing the agenda for the 2017 Phocuswright India.”

“We’re working on lining up a spectacular speaker roster for 2017,” says Chetan Kapoor, Phocuswright’s research analyst, Asia Pacific. “Our theme touches every segment and aspect of the Asia Pacific travel, tourism and hospitality industry and provides a great platform for conversations that will mold the future of travel in the region.”
