China Southern Airlines makes London marketing push

Coordinated by MAG, this latest China Southern Airlines campaign will be targeting its UK audience across both traditional and digital formats.

Media Agency Group is delighted to be once again working with China Southern Airlines on a new London-based advertising campaign.

The multi-format campaign sees the airline make a major marketing push amongst a UK audience as it focuses on building brand awareness in the capital.

Coordinated by MAG, this latest China Southern Airlines campaign will be targeting its UK audience across both traditional and digital formats. A fleet of taxi superside advertisements are currently live on the streets of London, transforming the iconic black taxi into eye-catching and effective mobile billboards carrying China Southern’s branding.

The taxis will soon be joined by 100 striking 16 sheet out of home advertisements in London Underground stations. These cross track ads offer high dwell time, targeting tube passengers who are waiting for their train and seeking a welcome distraction.

By combining this traditional advertising with additional online activity, China Southern Airlines will reach a large and diverse audience across multiple formats, which is ideal for brand-building campaigns such as these.

Last year saw China Southern serve over 109 million passengers ranking as the 5th largest in the world, and the airline continues to go from strength to strength. It flies from London Heathrow to China and over 24 onward destinations across South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Its new Dreamliner aircraft comes equipped with the ultimate on board luxury, including over 200 in-flight films for flyers to choose from and high quality Asian and Western food choices.

Managing Director of Media Agency Group, John Kehoe, said: “MAG is thrilled to be working with China Southern Airlines on this exciting new marketing push in London. The multi-format ads will give the airline a strong presence amongst the UK audience and help to raise brand awareness in an eye-catching and effective way. We’re confident that this campaign will be a great success and we’re looking forward further strengthening our strong working relationship with the airline.
