Dubai-based editor will receive the prestigious ‘Most Influental Travel Journalist Award’

Josh Mangila used to be a newspaper dealer and now is the Editor in Chief of an exclusive luxury travel and lifestyle magazine targeted to the affluent society in the Middle East.

Dubai-based Filipino multi-media personality, brand influencer and Editor-in-Chief of a luxury travel magazine targeted to the affluent society in the Middle East, who was once a newspaper dealer in a small province in the Philippines, will now be the first Asian to receive the highly coveted ‘Most Influential Travel Journalist Award’ from European Tourism, in Malta this October.

“I believe that traveling should be our right and not our privilege, I believe that traveling can open minds and can unite us through a powerful verity that we are all citizen of the world and should be responsible for each other. I am also happy that Filipinos are now getting noticed and recognized in the travel and tourism industry and I will surely continue my battle, even in my tiniest ways, to erase racism and stereotypes, not only in the Middle East or in Europe but in the entire world. We are all one, we are all the same.” says Josh Mangila who has traveled to more than 40 countries and 65 cities but he pointed that it is never the destination, it is always the journey.

“We are so proud to recognize Josh Mangila’s achievements and contribution through his inspiring articles and stories and award him in October for his utmost efforts to inspire people to travel, explore and respect different cultures. We believe that this will eventually aid in the progression of the tourism industry,” says Paul Chetcut, President and CEO of Miss European Tourism association. The awarding ceremony will take place in Malta on the first week of October 2016, on the same time of Miss European Tourism coronation.
