Renowned travel and tourism brands set to showcase at the 5th edition of SATTE Mumbai West

Scheduled for the 19th – 20th August 2016, at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, SATTE Mumbai West caters primarily to the travel-trade fraternity of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. The trade show will feature national and international tourism boards, DMCs, travel agents and tour operators, airlines, OTAs, hotels, resorts and IT companies.

MUMBAI – UBM India, organiser of South Asia’s leading travel trade show, SATTE, announced the launch of the 5th edition of SATTE Mumbai West. Scheduled for the 19th – 20th August 2016, at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, this keenly anticipated show caters primarily to the travel-trade fraternity of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.
 
The trade show will feature national and international tourism boards, DMCs, travel agents and tour operators, airlines, OTAs, hotels, resorts and IT companies. These include the Turkish Culture & Tourism Office, MTDC, Nepal Tourism Board, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Ltd., Svatma, Ezeego One Travel and Tours Limited, North Tours LLC, The Ultimate Travelling Camp, Satguru Travels And Tourism Pvt. Ltd., Italian Government Tourism Board and VFS Global, amongst other distinguished exhibitors. The participants will seek to engage with potential business aides and strengthen partnerships within the region through this platform.
 
As the demand for personalised and aspirational travel resources are on the rise, a number of niche products and service providers from the industry will also make their presence felt at the show. SATTE Mumbai West is ably supported by the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Association of Domestic Tour Operators (ADTOI), Maharashtra Tour Organisers’ Association (MTOA) and SKAL International.
 
The two-day event starts with two power-packed conferences on August 19 where industry thought leaders will gather to share their views on the potential, opportunities, challenges and trends of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry with a focus on western India. The subjects of the conference include ‘Promoting Destinations through Cinema Tourism’ where the discussion will pertain to how National Tourist Offices and Indian states can further utilise cinema as a marketing tool to promote destinations and drive footfalls and ‘Bridging the gap between Tour Operators & Hoteliers’. The latter explores the vital importance of enhanced co-operation between tour operators and hoteliers, which will further benefit the entire tourism ecosystem.
 
Speaking on the announcement of the 5th edition of SATTE Mumbai West, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India said, “Over the years, SATTE Mumbai West has notched year-on-year growth in terms of exhibitor support and number of visitors. It is witnessing an enthusiastic response from the travel trade fraternity this year as well. Travel and leisure is a dynamic business in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa, and has the potential to stimulate other sectors of this region’s economy as well. The expo comes at the right time to offer the community a scope to enhance their understanding of the business, push boundaries and tap the city’s and region’s tourism potential.
