Jet Airways to increase capacity on Mumbai-Amsterdam route by deploying Boeing 777 aircraft

Jet Airways had commenced daily flights from Mumbai to Amsterdam on March 27, 2016. The capacity increase is in response to growing demand, particularly from business and corporate travellers.

MUMBAI – Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will fly the largest aircraft in its fleet, the Boeing 777-300 ER, on the Mumbai-Amsterdam route with effect from October 30, 2016 to meet the growing demand on this key sector.
 
Jet Airways is the only airline flying daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam.
 
With this deployment, Jet Airways will offer passengers on this sector an enhanced travel experience, especially the airline’s renowned First Class suites. The Jet Airways’ Boeing 777 service offers a three-class configuration, comprising of eight First Class suites, 30 Premiere seats that open out into lie-flat beds, and 308 ergonomically designed seats in Economy.

From Amsterdam, Jet Airways offers connectivity to 30 destinations across Europe and 11 destinations in the United States and Canada through its codeshare partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

Superior in-flight experience
The Jet Airways Boeing 777 offers guests a luxurious inflight experience. Each of the eight First Class suites on the Boeing 777 aircraft features an 81 inch bed, a 23 inch flat screen monitor and carefully designed storage areas that include a personal hanging wardrobe, dual credenza and under ottoman stowage. Each of these private suites is designed to allow dining for two with a VIP/Business Jet style table, multiple LED lighting options, variable lumbar support and an eight point massage system. For those who wish to catch up with work, the First Class suites provide a power source and telephone connectivity.
 
Guests in the premier cabins can travel in the comfort of a virtual living room, with space to work, rest or entertain. The seat opens out to a 180 degree flat bed with lumbar support and a massage system.
 
Jet Airways economy seats on board the Boeing 777 have a seat pitch of 32 inches, and are ergonomically designed to create the most comfortable economy seating in the sky.
 
The Jet Airways Boeing 777 includes a selection of fine food and beverages on board. It will offer Champagne and wines from around the world including Bollinger La Grande Année, served in Rona stemless glassware. The menu choices are extensive and plated on hand-crafted William Edwards porcelain dinnerware.
 
With the airline’s state-of-the-art inflight Panasonic eX2 entertainment system, guests have the choice of over 1,500 hours of Hollywood and Bollywood movies, regional films, television and short programming, audio CDs covering a wide spectrum of music genres.
 
Boost in cargo capacity
The Boeing 777 aircraft with a significantly larger cargo capacity, offers more flexibility in transporting various types of consignments, which include perishables, pharmaceuticals, machinery and industrial goods between Mumbai and Amsterdam.
