The new hotel is located within the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani complex, which is already equipped with Novotel Bangkok IMPACT Hotel that has an average occupancy rate of 60-70%, and it will be managed by AccorHotels Group. IMPACT has confirmed that the new Ibis hotel will be completed and ready for service in March 2017.

According to Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the operator of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, the majority of clients renting exhibition space at IMPACT Muang Thon Thani are local private companies, representing 63%, followed by government agencies, representing 19%, and international clients, representing 18%. Through its Sales Department’s client database, IMPACT has acknowledged the demand for hotel accommodation near the exhibition center for convenience and travel time savings.

IMPACT has, therefore, set aside an investment budget of 1 billion baht to develop a 3-star Ibis Bangkok IMPACT Hotel, which will be managed by AccorHotels Group, to accommodate the growing demand. The new hotel will add 587 rooms to those offered by the existing 4-star 380-room Novotel Bangkok IMPACT Hotel, which is a preferred destination for international MICE travelers with an average occupancy rate of 60-70%, and will be a good alternative choice for local MICE travelers including government agencies requiring a convenient and affordable accommodation.

The construction of the 18-story Ibis Bangkok IMPACT Hotel already started on June 1, 2015, with structural works completed and construction works of guest rooms and additional facilities in progress. The new hotel will offer 574 standard rooms and 13 rooms for people with disabilities, with 40 rooms per floor. It will be equipped with a lobby bar, a dining room serving breakfast, spacious reception area that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, and parking spaces for up to 113 cars; all these are expected to be completed in January 2017, followed by interior and landscaping works. The entire establishment is expected to be fully completed and officially ready for service in March 2017.

Conveniently located within the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani complex, Ibis Bangkok IMPACT Hotel will meet the rising demand for hotel rooms near the exhibition center among MICE travelers along with the existing Novotel Bangkok IMPACT Hotel. Once the new hotel is completed, IMPACT will have both 3-star and 4-star hotels with a total of 1,000 rooms that meet international standards to accommodate customers at all levels.
