Laucala Island fully restored following Cyclone Winston

Fijis luxurious private island resort announced its re-opening on 1st July, after the tropical Cyclone Winston hit the island followed its restoration, landscaping clean-up and beautification programs.

HONG KONG – Laucala Island, the private island set in 3,500 exclusive acres on its own 12 sq. km island in the Fijian archipelago, happily welcomes guests for the re-opening of the resort on 1 July 2016. The reopening is a result of forced closure, after Tropical Cyclone Winston hit Fiji earlier in the year.

Following the island’s restoration, landscaping clean-up and beautification programs, and thanks to plentiful rainfall, as well as the tremendous efforts of all employees and support staff who worked tirelessly over the last four months, the island’s natural environment has returned to its full and immaculate beauty, opening its doors for guests to experience one of the world’s most unique and luxurious island paradises once more.

Mr. Ganster further comments “Since the opening in 2008, Laucala Island has offered the ultimate in terms of privacy and exclusivity. Our private island is perhaps best known for offering a kaleidoscope of sporting and cultural activities for guests of all ages. This July we are delighted to once again welcome guests from all over the world to create beautiful moments that last for eternity.”

At Laucala Island you will be greeted by white sandy beaches and intense rainforest backdrops with unparalleled levels of luxury. In addition to being an ultra-all-inclusive resort with twenty-five villas widely spread on the northern tip of the island, each with its own swimming pool, the resort also sets a high value in taking a holistic approach of self-sustainability; producing much of its fresh ingredients that are grown and reared organically at its own 250 acre farm for its five restaurants & bars.  Several leisure and wellness activities including an organic spa, 18-hole championship golf course, tennis, horseback riding to water sports ranging from diving, sailing, a submarine and more.
