Newly opened Imperial Springs Resort, China – the last word in luxury

Featuring traditional Chinese architecture, Imperial Springs is situated in the mountainous region of Conghua on the site of natural hot thermal springs long recognised for their healing qualities.

Imperial Springs Resort is a newly opened, supremely luxurious five-star property in southern China located on its own private 2.8 million square meter estate, an area larger than Monaco.

Featuring traditional Chinese architecture, Imperial Springs is situated in the mountainous region of Conghua on the site of natural hot thermal springs long recognised for their healing qualities.

The property, which can easily be reached within an hour of Guangzhou International Airport, offers guests an impressive range of facilities and amenities including:
 – 37 courtyard villas and 90 suites with 24 hour butler service
 – Phoenix Mansion, the presidential villa, with its own 28 guest rooms
 – The Kingold Museum housing over 20,000 priceless Chinese artefacts
 – The Imperial Spa with Chinese, Thai and Turkish therapies
 – A 27-hole championship golf course designed by Colin Montgomerie
 – A choice of six restaurants each offering a different culinary experience

Imperial Springs’ spacious 90 suites have access to a private swimming pool whilst the 37 villas offer a further degree of exclusive separate living with a private outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi and access to the hot springs. All guests receive 24 hour butler service.

Phoenix Mansion, the property’s presidential villa, so named because it sits atop Phoenix Mountain, is as beautiful as it is exclusive, offering its occupants no less than 28 guest rooms.

The curated Kingold Museum houses more than 20,000 pieces of beautiful and rare items of Chinese art and relics over two floors. From Chinese ceramics to paintings and wood engravings, the artefacts touch on many aspects of China’s 5,130 year old civilization, and provide a unique insight into the local culture. Private tours can be arranged for guests.

The Imperial Spa is incorporated within a beautiful, serene garden. Guests can choose from a range of pampering experiences including Chinese therapies designed to balance mind and body, as well as Thai and Turkish treatments.

The world class, 27-hole championship Golf Course was designed by Colin Montgomerie and is located in the heart of the mountains, surrounded by clear freshwater streams. Meanwhile the prestigious Clubhouse is a fusion of Chinese decor and Western design providing unobstructed 180 degree views from its panoramic balcony.

The property’s six elegant dining options offer not only the very best Chaozhou cuisine, one of the most famous cooking styles of southern China, but also a selection of European and world cuisine.

Guests can also venture further afield by delving into the pristine mountains and verdant forests that surround Imperial Springs on guided walks, treks and cycle tours.

With calm and relaxation being of paramount importance, no cars are allowed on site which is why state-of-the-art golf buggies provide the transport of choice.

Conceived by an eminent Chinese doctor, Imperial Springs was initially designed and built to be an exclusive private members club, and was realised at a cost of £400 million, opening as such in 2012.

It soon became apparent that this exquisite retreat could operate on more than one level, and in 2015 the decision was taken to offer discerning hotel guests the opportunity to stay in this supremely luxurious property.

General Manager Aaron McGrath comments: “Imperial Springs offers a unique luxury resort concept that will enhance any visit to China, and is a must visit property in the vibrant southern China region. A stay can also be easily incorporated into a two or three-centre Austral/Asia itinerary.

Imperial Springs is located only 93km from the hustle and bustle of the region’s capital city of Guangzhou, which also provides the property with an international gateway.

Guangzhou can be accessed from Heathrow on direct flights with China Southern, via Dubai on Emirates or can be connected with through Hong Kong, Singapore or Bangkok with various airlines including Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways. Direct flights take 12 hours.
