Maximize movement with Fusionetics at Six Senses Spas

This ground breaking technology can, with 95 percent accuracy, show how a person can optimize movement to increase performance as well as how to avoid future physical problems such as back, knee and hip problems by discovering imbalances in movement.

BANGKOK – As an integral part of the recently launched Six Senses Integrated Wellness Program where guests’ biomarkers are measured and put into a framework to give them a more in-depth and personalized wellness assessment, Six Senses Spas is now introducing Fusionetics.

This ground breaking technology can, with 95 percent accuracy, show how a person can optimize movement to increase performance as well as how to avoid future physical problems such as back, knee and hip problems by discovering imbalances in movement.

With Fusionetics, everything is evidence-based and driven by physical activities. Individuals are able to determine exactly how to optimize their performance by an impressive 30 percent while also cutting down on the time needed to recover from any previous injuries. The majority cases of pain and overuse injuries from which individuals suffer are preventable. The study of Fusionetics has taught the sports and medical field that contributing factors for injury risks include previous injury history, movement efficiency, training load and recovery behaviors.

Fusionetics also helps prevent injuries in the first place by providing strengthening and stretching exercises for individuals that improve overall performance, including improved speed, agility and strength. The result is that clients will have a properly aligned body that is capable of fluid movement, improved performance and a decreased risk of further injury.

Six Senses believes that Fusionetics services will help clients with injuries, and who have a medical release from their doctor, to begin recovery from problems affecting the lower back, shoulders, knees, ankles, wrists, and elbows, cervical and hip flexors. Test consultations are recommended for youth athletes, regular gym members, clients with body imbalances and older clients with difficulties in performing physical activities. Special stretching exercises are included as a part of the consultation. Fusionetics sessions last one hour.

Anna Bjurstam, vice president of Six Senses Spas and Wellness said, “By introducing Fusionetics, we are able to assess a person’s fitness level, not only from internal biomarkers as well as general physical attributes, but by how the person moves. This approach allows participants to combat imbalances through personal training, yoga as well as therapy such as osteopathy, massage, stretching and other methods currently available in Six Senses Spas. It is fascinating to see how small adjustments in how we move on a daily basis can make large impacts both directly in our performance and for our future.

Currently available at Six Senses Spas at Six Senses Yao Noi and Soneva Kiri in Thailand; Six Senses Spa at Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, Six Senses Spa Kuwait, Six Sense Spa Marbella in Spain; and Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman. Additional Six Senses Spa locations will introduce Fusionetics in 2016.
