Over six hundred bloggers and online writers worldwide to attend TBEX Asia 2015 in Bangkok this October

More than 600 bloggers and online writers expected to attend TBEX Asia 2015 in Bangkok, approximately 50 per cent is expected to come from the Americas, 30 per cent from Europe, and 20 per cent from Asia and Australia.

BANGKOK – More than 600 bloggers and online writers worldwide are expected to attend the Travel Blog Exchange Asia (TBEX Asia), to be held from 15 – 17 October, 2015, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok.
 
TBEX Asia 2015 is being jointly supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).
 
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of TAT said, “TBEX Asia 2015 will provide a unique opportunity for us to strengthen the longstanding position of Thailand as the leading tourist destination in Asia. Coupled with our successful 2015 Discover Thainess campaign, the event will help us promote a positive image of Thailand and attract more visitors from across the globe.
 
Of more than 600 bloggers and online writers expected to attend TBEX Asia 2015 in Bangkok, approximately 50 per cent is expected to come from the Americas, 30 per cent from Europe, and 20 per cent from Asia and Australia.
 
TBEX Asia 2015 will launch with a Loi Krathong theme opening party in the evening of 15 October, at QSNCC’s Retro Live Café. One of the most impressive annual festivals in Thailand. At the opening party, delegates will have the chance to learn how to make their own Krathong, sample delicious Thai food, enjoy spectacular Thai cultural performances.


 

The three-day event will highlight a plethora of interesting activities, including breakout sessions in various topics by well-versed bloggers and online writers, such as; Welcome to TBEX: Tips for First Timers by Amber Hoffman, How to Win Readers and Make Money: The Power of SEO by Sharon Gourlay, The Art of Crisis Management through PR and Social Media by Andrew Chow, and How DMCs and Tourist Boards Can Create Successful Blogger Trips by Michael Collins.
 
Apart from gaining knowledge and expanding network, TBEX Asia 2015 attendees will get the chance to discover Thainess first-hand through a series of comprehensive pre- and post-tour programmes, totalling 67 routes that highlight ‘discover Thainess’ products, comprising Thai Art – Muay Thai lesson; Thai Food – Thai cooking class and food tour; Thai Fun – various styles of shopping and tuk-tuk tour; Thai Way of Life “seven wishes” – walking tour @ Bangkok-Ratchaprasong district; and Thai Wellness – Thai spa experience.
 
TBEX was first held in 2008 and has been organised annually in Europe and the United States. As attendance has grown significantly, the organisers, TBEX, have decided to venture into Asia in recognition of the immense market potential and high growth in visitor arrivals.
