tmf dialogue marketing supports Slovenia in capturing Indian outbound market

Main international group movements from India are corporate groups, events and Incentives from 50 – 1500 pax, and include incentive programmes, conferences, gala dinners, shows, team building, seminars, and, very important for European destinations, a great deal of the famous big fat Indian weddings.

Slovenia is the new kid on the block of European destinations that has become increasingly interesting to Indian buyers. For the first time in 2015, tmf dialogue’s Indian office has included Slovenia in selected promotional activities this year.

The activities have been done for two reasons: 1. To provide Indian MICE and Destination event planners with what they seek most: New, lesser-known, interesting European destinations! 2. To add impetus in tmf dialogues’ existing efforts in communication and content marketing for Slovenia in the European region.

Why India you may ask? The answer is, why not! It is extremely good timing to be active in this market, which is one of the most developing markets for international meetings and incentives. India is less prone to economic crisis compared to other emerging markets like Russia, Brazil and China and the language barriers are less. On top of that, the Indian economy is strong and the new government is supportive.

Slovenia is a mini Europe in one place: lovely cities, great nature and landscape, super food and wine, open and hospitable meetings industry and a very engaged Convention Bureau. It has beaches and mountains, a sustainable approach and short distances, as well as lots of historic buildings, castles, monuments which can provide perfect setting for weddings and shows at affordable rates.

India is the third fastest growing economy in the world with rising travel potential.

 – The country’s business travelers are projected to be the second largest after the Chinese in the next few years.
 – The United Nations World Travel Organization (UNWTO) has forecast the growth of the Indian Market to reach 50 million outbound tourists by 2020 from the current 1.8 million.
 – The outbound MICE market, estimated to be around USD 600 million at present is expected to increase by 12-13% in the next few years.
 – Mindset of Corporate India increasingly favorable to MICE, perceived to be an important productivity tool.
