The recently launched, user friendly site has been built primarily for delegates, conference and event planners and brings a fresh new look into the Centre’s activities.
The website launch follows the recent official opening of the Centre’s new West Building, the first stage in the $394million expansion, which is due for completion in 2017.
The West Building features prominently on the new site with striking external and internal images of the new spaces.
Importantly, a 2-D planning capability has been embedded into the website along with a venue search application which allows conference and event organisers to identify the perfect space for their requirements.
The capacities and aesthetics of different combinations of halls and meeting rooms can be determined by different set up types in a very graphic and intuitive fashion.
Adelaide Convention Centre Chief Executive Alec Gilbert said the new website provided information in a simpler, easy-to-navigate format which was also fully compatible on tablet devices and mobile phones.
“Research shows that 40% of web searches are now conducted on a mobile device with Google giving preference to mobile compatible websites in their search results“, said Mr Gilbert.
“The new website will help us to better engage with our stakeholders by providing relevant and up to date information on rooms, food and beverage, technology and services offered by the Centre.”
The website also provides information and useful links on Adelaide and the South Australia as a destination.
