Vietjet wins PATA Gold Award 2015

The award recognises Vietjet’s marketing efforts in their innovative and meaningful campaigns.

SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has won the Gold Award for Marketing by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in 2015. The award recognises Vietjet’s marketing efforts in their innovative and meaningful campaigns.
 
This year, PATA received 269 entries across 83 travel and tourism organisations worldwide, competing in four main categories – Marketing, Environment, Heritage & Culture and Education & Training. Vietjet is the first ever company in Vietnam to be honoured with an award by the PATA and will receive the accolade during an award ceremony expected to take place on 8 September 2015 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Indian, during the PATA Travel Mart 2015.
 
Since its foundation in 1951, PATA has been contributing significantly to the development of travel and tourism within the Asia Pacific region. As a non-profit organisation, PATA provides insightful research and innovative events to its member organisations, comprising of 87 government agencies, 24 international carriers, airports, sea-freighters and 59 educational institutions in the region.
 
Vietjet has previously been honoured with several other national and international awards including the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards 2015 for company of the Year – Aerospace & defense and Transportation.
 
Vietjet has recorded an impressive growth since it launched its operations in December 2011. The airline currently operates a fleet of 26 A321 and A320 aircraft across 33 routes domestically and internationally, and plans to add four more aircraft by the end of 2015. During the recent Paris Air Show, Vietjet also ordered six additional A321 aircraft for delivery in 2017.
