Booking.com partners with Air China to provide global accommodation options for travellers

Customers who book accommodation through Booking.com on Air China’s website will also earn 6 Phoenix Miles per CNY10 on Air China’s frequent flyer program, increasing the benefits for Air China customers.

SINGAPORE – Booking.com has partnered with Air China in order to offer the airline’s customers access to over 690,000 online accommodation options world-wide. Customers who book accommodation through Booking.com on Air China’s website will also earn 6 Phoenix Miles per CNY10 on Air China’s frequent flyer program, increasing the benefits for Air China customers.

Booking.com, which guarantees the best price for any type of property online, offers a wide range of accommodation options – from small independents to five-star luxury hotels and never charges booking fees. The Booking.com website is available in 42 languages and has over 690,000 properties in over 80,000 destinations in more than 212 countries worldwide. Featuring over 50 million reviews written by guests once they have completed their stay, Booking.com offers free cancelation for most properties and attracts online visitors from both leisure and business markets around the globe.

Oliver Hua, Managing Director of Asia Pacific for Booking.com said, “Air China being such a ubiquitous brand in China presents the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our unique online accommodation offering to the Chinese market and to Air China’s international customers as well. With China’s large and fast-growing outbound travel market that we are servicing through Booking.com, we are happy to combine our strengths with Air China to deliver the best air travel and accommodation services to Chinese and international consumers.

Mr He Zhi Gang, Managing Director, Marketing Department of Air China Limited said, “Booking.com’s global reach was a key reason we chose the online accommodation platform to partner with. Air China, China’s only national flag carrier and a member of the world’s largest airline network – Star Alliance, has a customer service philosophy that revolves around four elements: credibility, convenience, comfort, and choice. With our fleet of 523 passenger aircrafts and freighters operating 332 routes, in 161 cities in 33 countries and regions around the globe, we are now able to provide our international customers a broad variety of accommodation options in any city we fly them to. On top of this – the added benefit of earning Phoenix miles not only in the air, but also at your hotel, makes this a perfect partnership.
