Bangkok Airways signs codeshare agreement with Jet Airways (India)

The codeshare will reinforce the international global network of both airlines and provide more choice for customers between Thailand and India, with seamless and convenient connections.

BANGKOK – Bangkok Airways, a Thailand-based regional airline and Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, have entered into a codeshare agreement.
 
Under this reciprocal codeshare arrangement, Bangkok Airways will place its marketing code on Jet Airways’ operations between Bangkok (BKK) and Mumbai (BOM). Likewise, Jet Airways will place its marketing code on Bangkok Airways’ flights between Mumbai (BOM) and Bangkok (BKK).
 
The codeshare will reinforce the international global network of both airlines and provide more choice for customers between Thailand and India, with seamless and convenient connections. The codeshare flights will be open for sale on April 30, 2015 and travel effective May 4, 2015. 
 
Mr. Peter Wiesner, Bangkok Airways Senior Vice President – Network Management said, “The codeshare services will allow customers to have better frequency to connect to Bangkok. We believe this partnership will offer a unique advantage for Jet Airways’ passengers who will enjoy our unparalleled services which include: free lounge access, in-flight meal and many more. I am confident that this will also strengthen Bangkok Airways’ extensive codeshare scheme of 17 codeshare partners including Jet Airways.
 
According to Mr. Raj Sivakumar, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, “Established as the second largest economy in Southeast Asia, Thailand has seen exponential growth in trade and tourism, attracting travelers from across the world including India. These codeshare flights will offer wider and convenient travel options to our esteemed guests travelling between India and Bangkok for business and leisure. This new partnership reinforces our commitment towards developing a robust network across regions.
