21st annual Phuket Bike Week 2015 to showcase over 10,000 amazing bikes this April

Attendees and visitors will also get the chance to join the bike parade through Phuket old town and Patong Beach, learn more about bike safety, and take part in environmental conservation activities.

BANGKOK – The 21st annual Phuket Bike Week – ASEAN Ride Together, to be held at Patong Beach from 11-13 April and Phuket town from 17-19 April is set to showcase more than 10,000 bikes from 30 countries as well as attract some 50,000 attendees from around the world. The event at Patong Beach will be held alongside the annual Songkran Festival on 13 April.
 
Ms. Anoma Wongyai, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s Phuket Office said, “The six-day event is set to be the biggest bike showcase of its kind in Asia. The event will allow bike lovers to share their passion for their two-wheeled machined. It will also help promote tourism, Thai culture and educate people on aspects of bike safety as well as global warming.
 
The ‘21st annual Phuket Bike Week – ASEAN Ride Together’ will showcase custom, classic and vintage motorcycles, and rare motorcycles from collections of celebrities and well-known people in Thailand. There will be a Miss Phuket Bike Week contest, tattoo competition, and presentations from international bike clubs from various countries, such as, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Turkey, as well as booths selling bike products and accessories.
 
Attendees and visitors will also get the chance to join the bike parade through Phuket old town and Patong Beach, learn more about bike safety, and take part in environmental conservation activities. Last but not least, also entertaining the crowds will be adrenaline quenching Gymkhana and stunt shows as well as beach parties and live music from local and International bands, including Carabao and Hin Lek Fai.
 
The 21st annual Phuket Bike Week – ASEAN Ride Together is jointly organised by TAT, the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation, Patong Town Municipality, Big Bike Lover Community and Ride Thailand Magazine. The event is expected to generate about one billion Baht revenue to Phuket.
