Mr. Ajinveat Vhongthong, Project Manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the organizer of BMAM Expo Asia 2015 revealed that “Thailand is ready to be an industrial hub of various industries in ASEAN, particularly in facility managementas Thailand is the top ASEAN country that has a high volume of high-rise buildings and factories. At the present, there are over 10,000 buildings, comprising a total area of over 1,000 square meters as well as more than 140,000 factories and 50 industrial estates nationwide. In addition, Thailand has a plan to develop transportation such as the sky train, public road, etc. which result in the increased number of buildings and factories. IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, as the organizer of BMAM Expo Asia 2015, is aware of these significant facts and will immediately organize the primary activities to develop the potential of Thailand facility management to accommodate the expansion of national economy. And this is the main objectiveto organize BMAM Expo Asia 2015.

Mr. Ayuthaporn Buranakul, President of Thailand Facility Management Association said “Therobust demand for facility management (FM) in Thai labor market far exceeds supply. The education sector can produce only 25 staff with Master’s degree per year and no more than 100 staff with Bachelor’s degree which are insufficient for the real estate market with the annual debut of 300-400 large building projects. The significance of facility management is not only about building maintenance to be in a ready-to-use condition, but also include the effective facility management in energy, expenses and convenience, first and foremost, managing and ensuring safety of lives and properties of building users.

Prof. Dr. Chaiwat Rirattanapong, Lecturer from Department of Innovation in Real Estate Development, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University said “Today, the demand for office for rent is increasing which results in the higher rental rate. This information is consistent with the anticipation by the United Nations, which states that more than 70 percent of population around the world will live in urban areas by the year 2050, resulting in the increase in the Global GDP which is over 90 percent. Nevertheless, the findings from various sources demonstrate the tendency of employee behavior which has been changed to high flexibility and there is no need to have a regular space in the office. Management of office space for the efficient use is so important in reducing costs and helps promote productivity at work.

‘BMAM Expo Asia 2015’ is the 8th International Exhibition and Conference on building maintenance and facility management in Asia. This year, the organizer emphasizes on ‘Leading to Efficiency Toward Emerging Technologies’ including energy management, facilities planning, facilities operation and maintenance and labor efficiency, plus a numerous academic meetings in ‘BMAM Expo Asia 2015’ which will be held from September 16-18, 2015 at Hall 6, IMPACT Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani.
