Amadeus strengthens foothold in Taiwanese market through landmark deal with China Airlines

The extensive long-term agreement with China Airlines and its subsidiary, Mandarin Airlines, to implement the passenger service system (PSS) and e-commerce platform used by more than half of the SkyTeam Alliance, means that Amadeus Altéa will now be the leading PSS in the Taiwanese market.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, announces a landmark deal with China Airlines, the largest airline and flag carrier of the Republic of China (Taiwan), for the adoption of the full Amadeus Altéa suite of solutions. Importantly for the carrier’s domestic business, the deal also marks Amadeus’ first Chinese language IT offering to an airline.
 
The extensive long-term agreement with China Airlines and its subsidiary, Mandarin Airlines, to implement the passenger service system (PSS) and e-commerce platform used by more than half of the SkyTeam Alliance, means that Amadeus Altéa will now be the leading PSS in the Taiwanese market.

Their Chinese language offering tailored to suit our needs is a testimony to how they consistently place customers first. The full solution roll-out will include among others, a series of streamlined passenger service solutions including inventory, reservations, passenger self–service check-in and departure control capabilities. This will ensure the airline has even greater co-operation within the alliance, enabling a seamless customer experience between members.
