AACB presents on value of business events to ACTE

AACB Executive Director, Andrew Hiebl, presented on the value of business events at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) conference in Sydney on 9 December.

The business events industry continues to gain momentum and recognition for the strategic and economic value contribution the sector makes to the Australian economy.

AACB Executive Director, Andrew Hiebl, presented on the value of business events at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) conference in Sydney on 9 December.

The panel titled Incentives Conferences & Events – The Next ICE Age was facilitated by Nigel Gaunt, Inaugural President of Incentive, Conference & Event Society Asia Pacific and included panelists Andrew Hiebl, Daniella Tonetto, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Starwood Sales Organisation Pacific and Aileen London, Senior Manager, Global Meeting Services JAPAC for Oracle.

Hiebl said, “The recent launch of the Deloitte Access Economics report on Australia’s international business events has allowed AACB to provide an update on the value business events provide to the Australian economy, including the economic and beyond tourism benefits. The recognition and support the sector has received from the Federal Government and other groups and associations has been tremendous. This is an exciting time and the future for business events in Australia is very bright.”
