Vietjet signs strategic agreements in India

These significant agreements have paved the way for Vietjet to begin operations in India and continuously grow to develop one of the most dynamic flight network across Asia. 

SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with India’s Air Costa, as part of a strategic alliance to explore opportunities in aviation and travel between Vietnam and India.
The official signing ceremony took place on 27 October 2014 and was well-attended by key officials including Mr Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and Mr Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of Vietnam.
Vietjet has also signed a tripartite partnership with Thailand-based Angel & Fairy Travel and South-East Asia University, enabling Vietjet Thailand to operate flights connecting Vietnam, Thailand and India, which is expected to be commence in December 2014.
These significant agreements have paved the way for Vietjet to begin operations in India and continuously grow to develop one of the most dynamic flight network across Asia. Vietjet currently operates 23 domestic and international routes and handles more than 770 flights per week. This includes international destinations to Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand) and Seoul (South Korea).
