Garuda Indonesia increases capacity on Singapore – Jakarta flight

Starting this month, the airline will deploy its third 222-seater Airbus A330-200 aircraft on GA 825 which departs Singapore at 10am. The aircraft replaces the 162-seater Boeing 737-800 service, increasing the capacity on the flight by 37%.

SINGAPORE – Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, is increasing capacity on its Jakarta – Singapore route by operating larger capacity aircraft in response to the strong bi-directional demand.

Garuda Indonesia currently operates nine daily flights between Singapore and Jakarta. Starting this month, the airline will deploy its third 222-seater Airbus A330-200 aircraft on GA 825 which departs Singapore at 10am. The aircraft replaces the 162-seater Boeing 737-800 service, increasing the capacity on the flight by 37%.

“Garuda Indonesia’s flights from Singapore to Jakarta have always been popular with both corporate travellers and holidaymakers because of our convenient flight timings and value added services. This is an important route for us and we expect to see a continued growth in demand,” said Sentot Mujiono, Vice President, Region Southeast Asia, Garuda Indonesia.

To celebrate this launch, Garuda Indonesia will be running a Business Class promotion from now till 22 December 2014. Valid for travel till 23 December 2014, selected return Business Class flights on Singapore – Jakarta will be on sale from S$788.

Now through 15 December 2014, earn bonus mileage on your GarudaMiles frequent flyer account when you book a flight between Singapore and Jakarta. Earn up to triple miles bonus when you book a business class seat and 15% bonus miles on an economy class seat.
