VietJet launches international route to Taipei with complimentary flight tickets

The route which begins operations on 12 December 2014, will tap the growing demand for air travel between two of Asia’s most dynamic cities.

SINGAPORE – In celebration of the launch of its latest international route between Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Taipei, Taiwan, VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“VietJet”) will be giving away 3,000 complimentary tickets*.
 
The route which begins operations on 12 December 2014, will tap the growing demand for air travel between two of Asia’s most dynamic cities. VietJet will operate five round trips with a flight capacity of 1,800 seats per week, between Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei from Monday to Sunday (excluding Thursday and Saturday). The flight will depart Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 2.30pm (local time) and Taipei Songshan Airport at 8.00pm (local time). The duration per section is 3 hours and 25 minutes.
  
From 20 October 2014 to 22 October 2014, travelers can enjoy free travel* to this destination in addition to other amazing fares by booking online at www.vietjetair.com or via VietJet’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/vietjetairvietnam by clicking on the “Booking” tab. The travel period applicable for this promotion is from 12 December 2014 to 27 March 2015 (excluding public holidays and peak season travel*). Tickets can be purchased with major credit cards including Master Card, VISA, JCB or American Express.
 
Passengers travelling from Singapore can now connect to Taipei via Ho Chi Minh City where VietJet currently operate daily return flights with a duration per section of 1 hour and 50 minutes. The flight departs Changi International Airport at 12.40pm (local time) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 8.50am (local time).
 
Rich in heritage, Taipei boasts stunning sceneries and a vibrant food culture. It is best known for its feted night markets and diverse folk traditions. “The demand for business and tourism purpose travel to Taipei is growing all the time. We are also witnessing an increasing number of Vietnamese settling down in Taiwan and year-round festive occasions creates a need for family visits and reunions,” says Mr Desmond Lin, Business Development Manager of VietJet.
 
Known to be a new age carrier, VietJet looks to consistently add innovative and added value services such as inflight duty free shopping. VietJet also offers express check-in at all airports for passengers over 65 years of age, expectant mothers, and families travelling with infants. These passengers are encouraged to approach VietJet’s express check-in counters for priority boarding and assistance with carry-on luggage.

Name changes on bookings are not allowed
Travel during peak season is subjected to dates determined by the airline. Flight bookings during the following public holidays are not applicable:
