The familiarisation tour has been organised by the new Altogether Perfect campaign comprising the Newcastle Convention Bureau, Destination Port Stephens and Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association. Altogether Perfect – was launched earlier this year to attract more lucrative business events to the three regions.

Altogether Perfect spokesperson, Rebecca Morley – Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Events Manager for Destination Port Stephens – said the itinerary was developed to showcase the region’s city, coast and country appeal to group event organisers.

This annual familiarisation tour is one of Altogether Perfect’s most important events and it’s also one of the most effective ways we have of showing the high-yield events industry what Newcastle, Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley have to offer to business organisers and delegates,” Ms Morley said. “By experiencing unique activities in individual destinations within such close proximity to each other, guests on this tour can see for themselves why our combined regions are altogether perfect for major events,” she said.

In the Hunter Valley, the itinerary includes Bimbadgen, Chateau Elan, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Cypress Lakes Resort, Tuscany Wine Estate, the Hunter Valley Resort and Peterson House. The Newcastle portion of the tour showcases the Wests Convention Centre, Civic Precinct, a garden party in King Edward Park, Newcastle Baths, Fort Scratchley Barracks, the Newcastle Jockey Club, Novotel Newcastle Beach, Noah’s on the Beach, Crowne Plaza Newcastle, Quest Serviced Apartments, The Executive Inn and Apollo International Hotel .

In Port Stephens, the VIP guests will experience Quad Bike King on the biggest sand dunes in Australia, a scenic helicopter flight with Skyline Aviation, Medowie Macadamia Café, boardwalk dining at The Anchorage, Moonshadow Cruises and Ramada Resort, Shoal Bay.
