Crown Metropol Perth takes out top hotel awards on national stage

Crown Metropol Perth was named the national winner of the ‘Overall Accommodation Hotel of the Year’ award, as well as ‘Australia’s Best Redeveloped Accommodation Hotel’ award.

Crown is proud to be honoured at the prestigious 2014 AHA National Awards for Excellence, held last night at Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast.

Crown Metropol Perth was named the national winner of the ‘Overall Accommodation Hotel of the Year’ award, as well as ‘Australia’s Best Redeveloped Accommodation Hotel’ award.

The hotel underwent an extensive multi-million dollar refurbishment which reached completion in 2012, presenting a modernised five-star luxury property to the marketplace.

The aim of the refurbishment was to redefine the hotel resort experience in WA and set a new benchmark for true five-star international luxury in Perth, and the project involved the complete redesign of all guest rooms and floor foyers, reception, pool area and day spa.

Crown Perth Chief Operating Officer – Hotels and Entertainment Andrew Hill said, “Crown Metropol Perth is tremendously proud to be officially recognised as an accommodation leader on this national platform. The 2014 AHA National Awards for Excellence are fantastic accolades and Crown congratulates the entire team for their ongoing commitment and efforts which have resulted in this important acknowledgement and put the spotlight on tourism in WA.

AHA (WA) CEO, Bradley Woods said, “Crown Metropol Perth was the big winner for Western Australia last night, taking out two prestigious awards. These awards recognise Crown Perth’s significant contribution and investment in Western Australia’s tourism and hotel accommodation sector.

Crown Perth also won six awards in the AHA 2014 ME Bank WA Accommodation Industry Awards, held in August 2014.
