137 Pillars House exhibits impressionist oil paintings by Ajarn Sontorn Suwanhem

In its ongoing support of local arts, 137 Pillars House latest art exhibition features impressionist oil paintings by Ajarn Sontorn Suwanhem.

This stunning 30-suite hotel featured on the 2014 Hot List for “Best New hotels in the World’ by Conde Nast traveller (USA) and “Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Thailand” by TripAdvisor, is a SilverNeedle® Collection property.  The exhibition series is part of 137 Pillars House’s Signature Brand Initiatives to deliver authentic guest experiences.  
 
This series of exhibitions featuring local artists in our Palette restaurant and in 137 Pillars House create an interesting art space for our guests and visitors, while promoting promising Thai artists,” said Manfred Ilg, General Manager.
 
Ajarn Soontorn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sculpture) from Chiang Mai University and an Master of Fine Arts (Sculpture) from Silpakorn University in Bangkok.  He has been exhibiting his artwork since 1989 throughout Thailand,
 
His current exhibition is a collection of florals, named “Beauty Revealed”.  It can be viewed at 137 Pillars House from now through to 30 June, from 9.00am – 10.00pm daily.
 
Chiang Mai residents and visitors are most welcome to visit the hotel to view the exhibition, and may wish to stay on to experience the SilverNeedle® Collection Afternoon Tea experience, or for lunch or dinner, after viewing the paintings.
