MOU signed between HNA and Linfox

The strategic MOU was signed between HNA and Linfox Group at the Park Hyatt Hotel at the Shanghai World Financial Center on April 11.

SHANGHAI – The signing was witnessed by Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb, and HNA President Chen Feng, as it is the custom for MOUs between Australia and China. At the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Abbot made a speech to fully appreciate the strategic significance of this cooperation and then had a brief meeting with Mr. Chen.
 
Linfox Group has grown from humble beginnings in 1956 to the largest privately owned logistics company in Australia. With business such as logistics services, airport operation, and real estate development, the Company also has a cash-escort company in Australia.
 
HNA Group was founded in 1993. Rapid and strong development in the last two decades has made it a comprehensive modern service operator with industries covering aviation, industry, finance, tourism, and logistics.
 
It is reported that the MOU aims to leverage respective resources advantages so as to invest industries deemed promising by both countries in a more efficient cooperative mode. According to the MOU, both parties will seek development in the air transport, airport investment and development, sea transport, and cold-train logistics, share major client resources, and build an integrated logistics network in major cities in China and Australia to provide one-stop air/sea/land transport services.
 
The MOU not only marks the alliance between these two giants but answers the call of governmental leaders in China and Australia to expand cooperation in fields including economy and trade, investment, and finance on the basis of mutual benefit and to promote partnership between both countries. Additionally, it will deepen and promote the relation between Chinese and Australian enterprises, making a sustainable and deep business relationship a reality.
