Centara will be in Vientiane from 2017

Thailand hotel group Centara Hotels & Resorts will get its first property in Laos by 2017 in Vientiane, adding a new five-star hotel in the Laotian capital city.

BANGKOK- Centara Hotels & Resorts confirmed on March 27 its future presence in Vientiane, Laos capital city with the opening of Centara Grand Hotel Vientiane in 2017. Thailand’s largest estate and retail company revealed details about the future property. Owned by Laotian Simuong Group, the 200-room hotel will be built under a management contract and will take its inspiration from a French colonial style. It will be located in the city centre of the Laotian capital and will request a total investment of US$ 46.2 million of THB 1.5 billion. 
  
The future Grand Centara Hotel Vientiane will feature two restaurants, Cenvaree Spa facilities, kids club, a swimming pool with a fitness centre as well as high-tech meeting facilities, including a ballroom.

Said Chris Bailey, senior vice president for sales & marketing of Centara Hotels & Resorts: “Laos is a natural market for us, being a direct neighbour of Thailand, and we are delighted that we shall have a five-star hotel in the centre of downtown Vientiane.”
