Campus Travel launches a smart app for the academic sector

Campus Travel is the only travel management company in Australia dedicated to the academic industry. The national team of consultants manages all travel reservations including complex itineraries and group travel, while our account managers provide strategic direction for mid-to-large market travel programs.

SYDNEY – Campus Travel, Australia’s only travel specialist dedicated to the academic sector, has partnered with UK-based firm Mantic Point to launch an integrated mobile itinerary management solution for travellers.

Called ‘Campus Mobile’, the app gives Campus Travel clients instant access to their itineraries on their smartphones. The app enables travellers to check in, receive flight status notifications or changes, access airport guides in addition to helpful tools such as a currency converter and weather forecasts.

Campus Travel General Manager Lorraine Donnan said they were excited to be delivering an intelligent mobile solution to their national network of academic travellers.

“Campus Mobile makes traveller information easier to access and travel plans simple to manage,” Lorraine said. “This is critical for our customers who want travel that’s streamlined and well managed at all points of the journey.

“By introducing this mobile solution, booking information is now conveniently and readily available for clients to access on their mobile devices. The app provides a central platform that securely stores and updates key travel information for travellers that want their itineraries while they’re on the move. With Campus Mobile our travel teams can keep in touch with clients at any stage of their journey should changes to their planned schedules occur.”

Part of global travel group Flight Centre Limited, Campus Travel has been providing tailored travel management solutions to Australia’s academic sector since 1989. Campus Travel looks after the travel programs of many Australian universities and research bodies, and also works closely with schools for their group travel needs.

Mike Atherton, Mantic Point’s CEO said Mantic Point’s integrated itinerary management platform enabled Campus Travel to deliver a highly consistent, relevant and contextual experience to their travelling clients: “It is all about making the experience familiar, intuitive and reliable for travellers to enhance their overall travel experience,” Mike said.
