More to learn about LGBT travel trends from South Korea

Consulting Out Now will present exclusive results on Gay and Lesbian tourism from South Korea at WTM London.

LONDON- Out Now a marketing consulting group focusing on research and study about Gay and Lesbian travellers’ trends will unveil at WTM London the results of the latest research for new markets such as Israel and South Korea. Out Now was already the first to give a deep insight on other Asia-Pacific markets such as Australia and Japan. A study is also on preparation about behaviours of India’s gay and lesbian travellers. “Asia is an emerging continent with high purchasing power and increasingly sophisticated LGBT communities. There is still a lack of acknowledgment of the Pink dollar power in Asia and we hope that our research will contribute to raise awareness to tourism consumption among LGBT communities,” explains Ian Johnson, Founder and CEO of Out Now.

The public presentation in London followed an agreement done with World Travel Market (WTM) and Out Now. Next travel show from November 05 to 08 in London will provide multiple options for professionals seeking to reach the LGBT tourism consumer market – and to network with other businesses globally in a new B2B initiative to be showcased  at WTM.
Out Now will present its LGBT Marketing Masterclass, releasing the latest tourism findings from the research program – LGBT2020 – at the WTM education workshop, including the first ever LGBT tourism research data for new markets including Israel, South Korea and Turkey. One of the confirmed panel members is Ruben Sandoval, chief executive of LGBT Confex – a Latin America conference and events organiser.

According to Johnson, “the LGBT travel market has advanced in major ways during the past 20 years, but the organisational structures that serve the industry have advanced little.” Out Now is planning to host a dedicated LGBT floor space at WTM 2012 branded ‘Out Now Business Class at WTM’.
