Launch of 'The Luxe Nomad' shakes up Asia's travel industry

Founded by model-turned-entrepreneur Stephanie Chai, TheLuxeNomad.com has signed up a team of industry experts and celebrity curators – including Taiwanese actor Godfrey Gao, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 Deborah Henry, and E! News Asia TV presenter Dominic Lau to lend a touch of glamour to the world of travel.

TheLuxeNomad.com is a new private flash sales website with a focus on Asian luxury hotels and resorts with prices available only to members; the good news being that membership is free.

Founded by model-turned-entrepreneur Stephanie Chai, the site has signed up a team of industry experts and celebrity curators – including Taiwanese actor Godfrey Gao, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 Deborah Henry, and E! News Asia TV presenter Dominic Lau to lend a touch of glamour to the world of travel.

The members-only website will feature weekly flash sales of hotels at up to 70 percent off. Members will have to act quickly as the spotlight hotels are available for seven to 10 days only. The hundred over hotels already signed include the luxurious Sri Panwa in Phuket and several stunning villas in Bali.

"In Asia, travel bookings are increasingly moving online, but right now no one is catering for the luxe traveler to whom time and quality is important," says Chai. "I created The Luxe Nomad to do three things: offer travelers exclusive rates to some of Asia's most fabulous destinations; feature a curated list of hotels; and last, but definitely not least, inspire people to travel."

The Luxe Nomad values great editorial content, which is why they have partnered with DestinAsian, Asia's leading travel and lifestyle magazine. The portal will publish selected articles from DestinAsian to provide members inspiring insight into Asia's most popular destinations.

With backing from digital media investment fund Tigris Capital and SPRING Singapore, The Luxe Nomad is well-equipped to become a market leader in the online travel booking industry.
