Korea MICE Expo 2019 to kick-off on 12 June

This year is significant because it is KME’s 20th Anniversary.

Seoul, South Korea – Korea’s largest annual trade show for incentive planners and meeting professionals, Korea MICE Expo (KME) will take place from 12-14 June 2019 in Songdo ConvensiA, Incheon.

“This year is significant because it is KME’s 20th Anniversary. We hope this will serve as a new beginning, marking KME’s first step in expanding beyond Korea to become an exhibition of global scale in the next 20 years,” said Namchun Kim, Director of the Korea Tourism Organization’s Meetings & Incentives Team.

KME 2019 will be organised under the them ‘Green MICE’ and will showcase the latest sustainable, eco-friendly trends in the MICE industry. It will also incorporate various ‘green’ elements.

A KME 2019 app will allow visitors to access event information and program schedules on their phones. PDF directory books will replace posters. The use of reusable tumblers will be encouraged to reduce paper and plastic waste.

The event will also introduce new programs such as Knowledge Hub and KME Pitching.

The KME Pitching program will offer start-ups and participants the opportunity to pitch their content to buyers. A separate ‘Pitching Stage’ will be prepared within the event hall, where each group or individual will have 15 minutes to present their pitch, including time for Q&A. 

KME 2019 is expected to attract over 3,000 expected MICE industry professionals to discuss prospect business and network with 300 exhibiting local service providers, including convention bureaus, unique venues, and travel agencies.
