The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) revealed tourism marketing action plan for 2018. TAT new gastronomy tourism project “Open to the New Shades of Thailand” was focussed on the concept of the travel through unique and authentic Thai local experiences. The strategy is in line with the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan and 2nd National Tourism Development Plan.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “TAT’s marketing plan 2018 has been designed to serve the purpose of generating revenue in order to change Thailand as a “value for money” destination to a “preferred destination” among international visitors.”
Thailand will host the fourth edition of UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism in Bangkok next year.
