We are with Mr Andy Tan, Sales Director in Asia-Pacific for Hotelbeds attending the 1st MarketHub Conference in Bangkok. In the video interview below Mr Andy Tan replies to the following questions:
Andy Tan joined Hotelbeds in 2015 as Sales Director for Hotelbeds Asia Pacific. He is responsible for driving the sales plans to support the achievement of the company's ambitious growth targets in this region. A key area of focus is developing the customer base through the optimisation of existing customer relationships, as well as new customer acquisition. This includes championing the implementation of "best in class" sales tools and processes aligned to local markets, as well as leading and developing the regional sales teams to maximise their potential.
Andy's vision is to create a world-class sales organisation in the region by creating and strengthening strategic partnerships and relationships, developing a collaborative and empowered team culture and using technology and strategic analysis to improve sales performance.
Andy has an impressive and progressive track record in the hotel industry having held a number of senior leadership roles at a regional and global level, most notably as Vice President of Sales for Pan Pacific Hotels Group and Sales & Marketing Director APAC and Director, Global Sales & Lead Prospecting Centre for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. During his career, Andy has won several sales awards and served on various regional and global industry association committees. In addition, he has participated with Singapore Tourism Board led campaigns together with Singapore Airlines to propel and drive meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions for the country. He is multi-lingual and speaks Chinese, as well as English and Thai.
